Gene Wilder died

First Robin Williams and now Gene Wilder. Two of the funniest men to ever do comedy. Heaven must be one funny place.

My Dad was taken by the same thing.

Just found out that Gene Wilder died. He was one of my favorite funny men. He will be missed.

Gene Wilder is now with his wife who died several years ago Gilda Radner both wonderful comedians .. He will be missed ..

Willy Wonka one of the great classic movies of all times .. no other like it !!

It's hard to realize that he was 83 and wasn't Willy Wonka any more. Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles are two VERY funny movies that he'll be remembered for.

Yeah, he and Gilda are probably doing a sketch right now.

The Frisco Kid is my favorite Gene Wilder movie. I was beginning to think no one else had ever heard of it, much less seen it.

When I was in college I worked as an instructional aid at an elementary school in the ghetto. Blazing Saddles had just come out and the teacher I worked with {Essie Smart, an amazing lady so full of love for her students that they all loved her back}, had had Cleavon Little as her student years before.

She invited him to speak at the sixth grade graduation and he graciously accepted. I got to spend about 10 minutes chatting him up, mostly about the movie and he was a hoot! He had a number of stories {not all of which can be told here... think Madeline Kahn... "It's twoo it's twoo"}, about how hard it was to get through scenes, many of which were pure improv, with Gene Wilder {and the rest of the cast}.

"Lets play chess!" {being my personal favorite}.

My favorite was the prison movie he made with Richard Pryor. Uh huh, we bad, yeah, we bad.
Still makes me laugh thinking about it.
