General Availability of M&P mags

I haven't seen 9c mags anywhere for a long long time. Don't know what's up with Smith, seems like bad ju ju to sell a ton of guns but not any mags anywhere. Why is it that you can find Glock magazines all over the place but NOTHING for a M&P 9c?

Some things to consider:

1. S&W doesn't make the magazines, Mec Gar does.

2. Glocks have been around for 30 years, the M&P was introduced in 2005, Glock has had a lot of time to build up the stock of parts.

3. Many LE departments are switching to the M&P which would result in a glut of Glock parts and a potential shortage of M&P parts (need them to build more pistols)

I agree that it would be preferable to have an unlimited supply of parts (or at least an adequate supply) but I don't think S&W anticipated this demand (dreamed of it, maybe, but not anticipated). I think, given time, this situation will be self correcting.

I'm looking for 17 round mag for the 9mm c . Mostly for the added grip length which would help with the iwb at 6 o'clock. I know its way back there but at 70+ a lot of things don't work like they use to. I might go with abdominal cross draw in the hot months if there is such a thing.
