Georgia Arms "canned heat" opinions?

I've been a satisfied customer of theirs for a number of years. Great folks to do business with.

Their prices on 9mm and .45 FMJ aren't as low as wallyworld so I've used little of it.

Shot a few thousand of their .40 when it was still relatively new and hard to find. No issues.

Literally tens of thousands of .38 special range loads; had one fail to fire years ago, which is better than the 'majors' do nowadays.

They also load stuff the majors quit years ago or never did make, like .32 S&WL JHP at decent speeds, .45AR and the like.

I've shot their .38 Special, .357 Magnum and 45 Auto ammo and all were just fine. It's good ammo for the price but can be a little dirty at times.

G/A reloads

I have been using Georgia Arms canned ammo for several years and have not had a problem with their ammo. I have almost exhausted 4000 rounds of .40 caliiber without a problem. I find their prices are great and when placing an order, their shipping is excellent. I would rate a thumbs up for the company.

Quality ammo

I've shot Georgia Arms .223, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP ammo for years and I've never had a problem. When you're looking at their products, they post ammo in 3 ways: (1) "canned heat" is reloaded once shot brass (2) any listing that simply describes the ammo is also reloaded once shot brass (3) if the ammo is listed with "New" in front of the description, it is new brass and not a reload. GA Arms has state of the art loading equipment and they did relocate to a new facility a few years ago due to constantly expanding sales. Many large and small police departments and other agencies depend on them for their ammo for training and practice, so it is reliable.

Note regarding the .223 ammo: Georgia Arms loads to SAAMI specs only and none are mil-spec. So if you practice with .223 ammo but plan to use M193 or other mil-spec ammo for hunting or self defense, you may have to make some slight adjustments to your sights for long range shooting. For me, that is a minor consideration for the savings on practice ammo.

I started shooting my order today in two guns. It worked fine in both. It is a little dirty. I'll be cleaning my guns regularly. I saw some Federal ball ammo in my LGS today in 150 round packages at a lower price. For the time being I am going to shoot this JHP for practice.

I've shot several thousand rounds of assorted .357 Magnum ammo from them and I've never had any problems. I've found there ammo to be cleaner than WWWB ammo which I will not\,by choice, use again.
I think Georgia Arms ammo is an excellent value.

Have been using it for years with nary a problem. If you buy $500 of ammo, which sure ain't hard to do any more, shipping is free. Maybe you can team up with some friends for a larger order.

They are not infrequently out of certain types of ammo due to "component shortage". They have a very good web site and have always been very good to talk with either in person or via phone. If you have a question give them a call. The are good folk.

I am a GA resident which means I get to pay the state a tribute of 7%. At least I know my tax dollars will be well spent (tongue stuck way far in cheek)!

Had great results with their 9mm 124 gr NATO rounds (just ordered another 1,000) as well as their 147 gr Sub-Sonics. Also shot 100 rounds of their 180 gr .40 S&E with no issues. I prefer their ammo over WWB any day of the week.

Personally I will never buy anything from them again because the last time I bought some of their reloads, I had about half of them fail to fire. Bad primers or something.
