Getting back into reloading after 10 years.

I have a number of powders fit for loading 9mm, but most often I use 700x and CFE Pistol. I use the 700x basically because I bought a keg a few years ago at a good price. I load a pretty good bit of 38 and 9mm with it.

Bullseye, Unique, 2400 should cover pretty much all you pistol reloading needs

Ah yes, the original Powder Trinity! Back in the day those 3 powders gained fame partly because they work well and partly because there were very few alternatives.

I also have a powder trinity that will also load any handgun cartridge you want to load. (I have posted this countless times)

My Powder Trinity is:
W231 - HP-38
W540 - HS-6
W296 - H110

Now this has been complicated by Winchester by adding W244 and W572 to their lineup. W244 is very similar to W231 but a touch slower. W572 is a bit of a mystery to me. It's not similar to any of the Winchester powder of today. It's more in the class of the now discontinued W571/HS-7 powder. Still, it's a good powder and has it's place.

Sorry for going on, I'll stop now lol...

Your really spoiled for choice.
What it really boils down to is whether or not you can find your desired powder.
Walk in with a list, walk out with what was available from the list and be happy.

If I were just starting or restarting with my reloading, I'd probably look for W231/HP-38 to use for general purposes in my pistols and revolvers. For 9mm in particular, this would be a very flexible choice, and I've used it for loading 32s though 38s including a bunch of nines. If I were tempted to expand my powder magazine, W296/H-110 would probably come next for higher pressure loads. After that it would be "Katie bar the door" as so many good powders are out there. I'd probably go with Green Dot and AA #9 especially for my next choices as both are so versatile.
But back to the OP… it would be HP-38/W 296 hands down for the purposes you mention. I've got quite a bit stashed for the 9mms and 32 S&W Long/H&R I currently load most frequently.

PS in reality there's nothing wrong with Bullseye or even Unique for loading the nines as you mention, but they (esp BE) have gotten pretty hard to find and don't really offer any great advantage to make them worth the search, IMHO.
