Getting Ready for the Big One!

Rustyt1953,,,,Road trip!!
Grab the motor home, some scrapple and a washtub full of yuengling and come sit with me a spell.
PS: news on the twins?

Rusty, The motorhome is winterized and cleaned out, not ready for an impromptu road trip! ;) Anyway I don't think Ohio is expecting any beach weather anytime soon?
COLUMBUS, OHIO as of 8:21 pm EDT 30° SNOW SHOWER feels like 21°
H -- L 25° UV Index 0 of 10

As for the twins? Just seen the recent sonicgrams,,,They're still percolating ! ;)
Thanks for asking!

It's just gonna miss us here in central Indiana.
We haven't gotten 3-4 inches the whole winter.
I'm not mad tho'

Ride it out and "don't over do it" when getting dug out there Lok.
It'll melt...

Like you, "I am loving retirement". Not having to drive 30 miles each
way to work in the winter was not a favorite of mine.

Hang on you folks in the path.

Chuck

We're all set ,,,,screw the snow! and it's good to be retired! :D

Up here in Sierra Nevada's, expecting 74 degrees. Back in my native town, Rochester, MA, expecting 4-8 inches of global warming, as my step-father used to call it when shoveling out the driveway. Our mutt, who was shipped from Massachusetts two years ago to live with us, doesn't miss it at all.

Well, all I can say is that here in the great northWET, we're seeing our lawns for the first time since the beginning of December. We've had temps below freezing pretty much that whole time, and most of the time in the teens and twenties. We're now seeing temps in the 50's headed towards the 60's. Feels like spring. It's about time IMO. I've had enough of freezing weather and the white stuff for one year.

Just started snowing here at 7:15, went out to fill the bird feeder, the wind is blowing like crazy and you can here the surf pounding in, the snow is so fine you can hardly see it, looks like I will be staying in today.

No snow here yet. Mrs was all worried last nite, finally asked her why, we have food in the fridge, TP, wine and bourbon. She doesn't have to go anywhere, and I've been driving in the stuff for 45 years and she made me take her suv, so no worries necessary. ...

Well, It's started!

Got up at 7.30 my time and as of now have about a inch on the ground. As all the local weather guessers have us in the potential 16 -30" zone, there is a lot more to come.

As I live on a mountain and do my own 1/2 mile driveway and parking area this storm will probably get 3 plowings by me. Do 1 at about noon time, the next about 5PM and (hopefully) the last one tomorrow morning.

Good luck to everyone impacted by this Mother Nature tantrum!

Oh Well.

The weather guy wasn't exactly sure how the storm would track. So far, we've had about four inches of snow. On top of that, we now have freezing rain, more snow will then fall and the temperature will drop tonight.

This means that the snow thrower is next to useless. Anybody have a jack hammer they can loan me?

What is all this snow and ice everybody is talking about? Sunny and warm here in the desert this morning temp 58 deg. now but warming to about 92 this afternoon. Life is good.
