Was hoping some fellow S&W Forum members could recommend a few good gun shops in the Valley area. I live up in Prescott and am going to be down in the Valley for a month or more and want to see whats down there.

The only one I have been in is the Scottsdale Gun Club... I was impressed!

Try Bear Arms SE corner of Shea & Scottsdale rd. I have bought several guns from them and have been very satisfied

Right next to Scottsdale Gun Club, essentially sharing the same parking lot, is US Auto Weapons. They have an impressive amount of inventory.

I also like Bear Arms, mentioned in a previous post.

If you're into Glocks, there's Glockmeister on Bell Rd (cross street is 28th St.) in Phoenix. They have another location in Mesa, but I haven't been to that one.

Try Legendary Guns just north of Camelback on 19th Avenue. Good selection of S&Ws and single actions.

Shooters World on 28th Avenue south of Indian School Rd has a good inventory. They have a nice indoor range, also.

Check for gun shows when you plan to visit - that's probably a better bet than anything else. There will be a show at the Mesa convention center on June 25-26, and one in Phoenix at the fairgrounds July 23-24. Both are Crossroads of the West shows; a schedule is on the internet.

Shooter's Vault, 32nd St. & Greenway, northeast corner
Lone Wolf, 51st Ave & Peoria, northwest corner
Randall's, 51st Ave & Dunlap, southeast corner

Outstanding!

TY so much for the suggestions, I will get em into mapquest so I can visit as many as possible. I have been to the gun shows at the fairgrounds - very impressive - even bought a couple of guns. I hear the crossroads of the west one has class 3 firearms at the show before the holidays - I guess thats the one to hit

TY again,

Also see, Cabelas in Glendale, Sportsman's Warehouse in north Phoenix or Mesa, and Bass Pro Shops, in Mesa --- all of which have large inventories of both long guns and handguns and accessories...

I remember too well a few years ago my best buddy and I were gonna go duck hunting the next day, and I only had my dad's old 16-gauge. Dave and I drove ALL OVER to seemingly every gun related store in the greater Phoenix area, and found NO steel 16s. Thank Heaven I was able to borrow a 12 for the next day, cuz we had action! Just bad timing, I reckon.
