My current pet peeve is the large number of emails I get from people who want to sell me car insurance, two or three every day. I guess it could have some connection to the data breach, but I don’t know how.

I have come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as a "data breach". Why? Because there is no "data security" and never has been. The entire Internet is an S&M operation -- Surveillance and Manipulation. Once you sign in, you're permanently, thoroughly and aggressively exploited and exploitable in just about every way.

Try to escape if you like; it's designed to be utterly inescapable...

I recently bought a *** Colt Police Positive Special so of course I looked in YouTube for any info, etc. Now, I go on Tube and there are about 10 videos about the old Colt. In the meantime I get a message from Safari bragging about how many times it has stopped "Trackers." They also flood my email box with all kinds of junk pertaining to stuff I really have never dealt with. I get a lot of ED emails, so I wonder what my wife has been looking at online!!

Yep, another scam. They are just playing the odds that they will catch someone in a vulnerable moment. I always considered my self pretty savvy but I bit once on one of these scams myself.

Check the phone numbers they call from. I get texts from the post off that my packages are undeliverable. USPS have never had my number and originate in Canadas Maritime Provinces. Delete them and report as spam.

I was given a prescription for a prostate medication...two days later I started getting ads for Preparation H with Lidocaine...Not just one...over a dozen...Something is rotten in...well somewhee!

The new one here in Ga is a text from the toll authority (Peach Pass) that your bill is past due with a link to pay the bill. I bet it works, if you have a Peach Pass account. (We don’t…)

I receive 15-20 emails daily that I have been selected to receive an "Introductory" gift of (96 piece tool set, Yetti Cooler, etc etc) just contact them to claim. These are all "Phishing" wanting to get your info to trap you into something. Never answer just delete them all.

paypal has a phishing report website.
i have reported a few. got them often, but not lately.
Never saw a charge on any accounts.

I received an email from Mac_Afee saying my account has been paid, $684.00. Had a link and phone # to call if questions. Took ipad to CU and showed a customer relations person and asked if she could use CU phone to call #. Her eyes got big as saucers and said no way as many of these scam sites can hack a CU or bank phone. Had no idea. Did a reverse # lookup and area code was in Mi. Not to happy as just paid for a service to remove my data from just about everything online and bogus phone calls. Calling them tomorrow.

I get those MacAfee emails every week or two, delete, delete.
You paid a service to remove your online data? What service would that be? Sounds a little scammy to me.
