Got Scrooged, or maybe Grinched

Of course if the picture is of your package on someone else's porch that is a whole other story.:)

Where I live the Amazon folks can't seem to comprehend the street signs and I am forever walking packages a street over to complete the delivery or going over there and knocking on doors trying to get my package back.

One time the guy brought the package out and it was all opened up. As if you don't realize that it isn't yours when you get it or begin to open it.

When I had my house built, me and a neighbor were constantly exchanging mail and packages.

When you turn into my subdivision, if you turn left the 3rd house on the left is mine 9 West, if you turn right the 3rd house on the left is 9 East.

A follow up. Checked the shipment progress tracker, with intent to print another copy. Instead, I had a new tracker, saying the box had been signed for Thursday (?), and delivered yesterday. I went to the UPS Store this afternoon, and of course, they have never checked in the tracking number, and never received any package with my name on it. UPS is giving me and the rep at SGAmmo a big run-around.

SGAmmo is on the case. They told me yesterday that the full refund is available. They are checking the odd UPS track claims, then I decide if I want a refund of funds, or one of two purchases I could have shipped from SGAmmo at the same price. The original purchase stock is sold out, so no replacement.

I have a package that UPS disappeared in the past three weeks.

Over the last 10 years, UPS has had merchandise stolen from my packages, destroyed a fairly nice 500BPE double rifle and routinely lost my packages.

You should Never have to file your claim: THE SENDER IS THE INSURED PARTY!

UPS is the worst choice for recipients! Their failure rates far exceed that of other carriers.

Most UPS stores won’t accept or ship ammo. I suspect UPS has the ammo because they can’t deliver it to the UPS store but doesn’t know what to do with it.

Several years ago I had UPS domestic and international for my business. I had an incoming order from Germany and one box was soaking wet.
driver note it on delivery. I turned in a claim and it was denied 'IMPROPER PACKAGING BY SHIPPER" My rep, who was worthless stopped and told me he could not do anything for me.!
I had the number for head of UPS Iowa shipments and called her.
I requested UPS contact my supplier and bring in 25 replacement boxes.
UPS decided to pay a claim for $2500 and then fired the rep.

The fine people at SGAmmo came through with the truth. Yesterday, a third delivery attempt was made. It was refused at the UPS Store and is being returned to SGAmmo. So, the store manager lied to me more than once. When it gets back to Oklahoma, I asked that they ship it back to my home. I'll take my chances with the porch pirates and make sure I'm waiting at home on the delivery day. What a hassle.

Try getting a damage claim resolved. We have a similar issue as wood714. Our address is 141 XXXXX there is another 141 on an adjacent street. Any time we show an item delivered the first step is run over to the other address and vice versa. It happens regularly.

You might find it was one of his woke, anti-gun minions that refused delivery. I would take it up with him/her to get the truth.

The manager was the first to say "I never saw it. It's not here." both times that I stopped in to pick it up. The employees were helpful. One even looked in their records for every package they had checked in. I didn't go back a third time. The final, ever-changing delivery record stated on the top of the list that it had been refused (yesterday at 9:36 AM) and sent back to SGAmmo. The only person who could refuse delivery is the manager.

SGAmmo's people have been pressing UPS for details for over ten days, and filed claim on the 19th. It's not odd that it finally shows up and then gets refused a third time. Both of the techs I have corresponded with worked hard on clearing this up, and I was told in a follow-up that if the returned box is damaged, they have inventory set aside to replace it new.

three strikes ....
I'd be tempted in this day and age to go even higher if need be.
If it's company policy to accept the shipment to begin with, it's their job to complete that delivery.
If someones politics interferes with that duty, they need a different line of work.

The problem is that the UPS Stores are franchises and they can set different rules than the carrier customer counters. Typically no firearms, no ammo or any other placarded items. Thus the issue here.

In the past, pickup was available at the UPS hub in my area. That stopped when franchises were opened locally. The store is a franchise. Most UPS Stores are. Maybe UPS can pull his franchise, but I don't think it will be easy to get rid of him. It takes a player with some weight, like SGAmmo, who ships hundreds of boxes via UPS every week.

Well, then they need to reopen the hub option. If UPS cannot control (or wish to control) their franchisees, then they need to provide other means to honor their contract with SGAmmo and other ammo shippers.

Even if the franchise doesn't accept ammo shipments, the manager should've/could've told you the truth, that he refused shipment, the first time it happened. Instead, they lied, multiple times, and wasted everybody's time and money! That's messed up and I'd be POed!

Indeed I am. A chance to get a case of 9mm plinking ammo at a low price that hadn't existed in over two years. Well, I wait another week, and get it back. Not my first rodeo with SGAmmo and ammo problems. Sam Gabbert has treated me well in the past. I'll dig up those posts in a link if anyone is interested.

Lying to a customer in business is utterly unacceptable. UPS need to be told this.

UPS will probably back the franchise decision to refuse ammo delivery, ignore the lies and/or justify the manager's lies - the manager felt uncomfortable with the customer who ordered ammo and didn't want a confrontation....

That's mostly where I am in my opinion as well.
There needs to be better regulation of their franchises. Not just this issue.

Last year, the wife and I were at out nearest UPS store to send Christmas gifts to family in WI.
The charge was going to be over $300 for all of them.
I asked if they had something more reasonable, They gave me a figure about $20 less and said they can't guarantee they'll make it on time ....
Told em the round trip will cost me less than $150 and they'll be there in 9 hours or less.
Having nothing better to do at the time. I stuck my foot in the Subaru and delivered them myself.
The markup is RIDICULOUS at some of these places.

After 20 days bouncing around in trucks, the case of Magtech 9mm steel case came home. This took a lot of hours and hassles for both myself and the good people at SGAmmo. Refused three times at the UPS Store. Now I have collected 1k rounds of Magtech steel case, and 1k rounds of Tulammo steel case, plenty for heavy plinking at the range, and not worrying that I am shooting up too much of my SD ammo. I told the UPS driver who delivered it that it had been refused at the store, and he said "They can't do that".
