GOVERNOR VS 39-2?????

Traded a 39-2 NIB straight across for the Governor. I have 2 and this one had to go. The other is a transitional model 39-2 with the hole in the hammer and other transition features. So I kept that one. I probably could have gotten more for the 39-2. You don't get the opportunity to do a trade as this went down. Real happy with the Governor as I live in AZ with a lot of snakes near my home. Plus I think it will be a great carry gun with the personal defense ammo PDX1 as pictured which also came with the gun.... Enjoy the pics.

I would say you did real well! I know I would have made that trade also. The Governor to me is the perfect outdoor revolver. I believe the sales of both Smith ans the Taurus is in due partly of the snakes showing up so early. My father in law has killed 7 copper heads this month alone! Change up in the cylinder is nice also, two of this, two of that, etc. happy hunting.

Congrats on the Governor. I hope you enjoy shooting it as much as I enjoy mine. I ended up putting on the larger Hogue 500 grips, and like it even more.

Well, if you like the governor, good for you. I would normally scold you something fierce for letting a 39-2 go for something like that, but since had another one, maybe the new owner will love it. I would not have made that trade for all the whiskey in Ireland.

That seems to have been a very equitable trade, pretty much equal value by todays prices. I have 2 very nice M39-2's and would trade one for a Governor.

I would not have made the trade either. But guns are a personal thing.

I really like my governor with a 500 conversion grip on it.

A word on the PDX ammo though, the BBs go wide and really make it a 5 yard round tops. I prefer this Remington load. It will put all 4 pellets on a 9" paper plate at 7 yards. : )
