Our oldest daughter and her husband had been trying for over a year. They had given up a couple of months ago and of course that's when it happens! We had pretty much given up too so we're very excited! We were sworn to secercy but I can tell all of you! Just had to tell someone!

Another shooter is on the way.

Congrats. Same thing happened to my step sister and her husband. As soon as they quit trying, it happened. I think it has something to do with the stress of trying.

We have 11 grandchildren. Boy, they are a bunch more fun than your own! They also make a good excuse to buy more guns.

Congratulations, Grandpa & Grandma....It is a blessing to have grandchildren. Love them, spoil them get them wound up and then kiss them goodby as they go home with Mommy& Daddy.

Congrats!! Just don't make the mistake my buddy Mikey did. His step daughter had a baby. That night, he was acting weird before bedtime. His wife asked what the problem was. He said, "I ain't never slept with a Grandma before."

If I'd known how much fun the grandkids were going to be, I'd have skipped kids altogether and gone straight for them.

This past weekend was pretty typical. Kidnapped the 3yo boy and brought him home. Just after the Reds game across the river, I scooped him up and we headed upstream. Got there just in time for "Fireworks Friday". A half hour of aerial bombs and star shells.

Then on Saturday, I kidnapped him again. Went to where another son was camping for the weekend. We ran and played until I was out of energy. He pouted until he fell asleep. Too much fun and he didn't want to leave.

Saw him again Monday afternoon for a few hours.

Grandkids are only young once. You just enjoy it a lot more than your own.

You can spoil them, too. DQ is a prime place. Mom and dad get worried about chocolate/vanilla twist cones all over them. Why worry? I'm just going to give them back when they get covered with sticky stuff.

Thank you all for the warm and amusing replies. My wife and I both enjoyed 'em. Rest assured we will be spoiling the little curtain climber!
