Please Sip, "Sam Adams":D

Help us out on the East Coast, we help you guys out in the wine dept.

Went tonight for dinner to a new place that had none of my usual beers like Heineken, Corona or Stella...checked out the menu and never heard of any of them actually....waitress recommended this one...gotta say...it was real nice...:)

Any of you ever try it?

Oskar Blues |  Mama's Little Yella Pils - Oskar Blues

Sir, Mrs. Ron H. likes that one. Me, I'm more of a PBR guy.

Hope this helps, and Semper Fi.

Ron H.

Never tried that one Sip. But if you have a hankering for
trying a new one, try a "Fat Tire" sometime. Had my first
one in Livingston Montana back in 1992 while passing through
on vacation. Good Brewski.

I have not run across the Oskar Blues, but I am partial to the real Czech pilseners like Pilsner Urquell and Czechovar.

Sam Adams is okay, I guess, but it really fades in comparison to Summit Extra Pale Ale, from Saint Paul. This is my favorite beer. It pushes Fat Tire, Sierra Nevada and their ilk to the sidelines. I will take it anywhere, even into a room full of Colorado microbrew snobs, and win converts. The only beer I have tasted that I consider on the same level is Bell's Two-Hearted from Kalamazoo.

As always, YMMV.

Mendacino Brewery beers are outstanding. Eye of the Hawk select ale (8%) White Hawk IPA (7%) Red Tail Ale (6.5%) They are brewed in Saratoga Springs under license here in NY as well as in California at their original site. Saranac micros are also local and very good. They have a huge selection of standard and seasonal beers. I was disappointed this St. Patrick's day however. I bought Bass Ale, Guiness, and Harp Lager thinking I was getting what I used to get, imported beer. Low and behold I found the Bass is a "product of USA" and the Harp and Guiness are made in Canada (yeah I know that's an import but not from Ireland) My regular beer for all around drinking is Labatt Blue Canadian. The stuff I get in Canada is better than the US market import (I'm less than 2 hours from the border) but the US stuff will do. I have a bar on my deck and my buddies and I go through our fair share of beer. Thank God my wife drinks wine!

You folks do know that Beer has been Scientifically and Clinically proven to make you smarter...........................it made my friend Bud wiser.

I'd like to try some of that. I discovered Two-Hearted in the UP and find it around here every once in a while. It's probably my favorite right now.

Another vote for Fat Tire Beer from Ft. Collins Colorado.

I love beer, always trying a local brew.

When I took my last math class (LAST, I will never have to take any math again) I was notorious for sitting at the table going over notes and working while drinking a beer. It seemed that being able to relaz and take my time helped me "get it" It was always not being able to follow or get in class things done....but home at the table with a beer I was good. Dahubby asked me how was I going to take exams on a Baptist campus with a beer. Anyway, beer got me through to Magna Cum Laude. I attribute my success to my theory of "neural Darwinism" because the beer kills off the weak brain cells leaving only the strong, active ones to survive.

Sounds good, anyway.

I think I'll have a beer today. If I can find the one the OP mentions, that might be the lucky one.

Fat Tire is a good brew! Having to drive to Ft. Collins to get some is priceless... (l can get it locally, but it's not nearly as fun!)
