Well after getting some of the items on my honey-do list checked of Saturday morning. The wife and kids joined me for some range time in the afternoon, as well as, another family that we are friends with that is just getting into shooting. One of them had just completed the NRA Basic Handgun course that we host, and just picked up her first handgun for Concealed Carry--S&W Shield. Got my steel targets set up and we spent about 4 hours plinking away, both of our oldest kids are in the same grade, and both got a chance to shoot some 22's in my S&W 2206--and my youngest was exited to try out an air soft pistol. After talking a little bit about the cost of ammunition, since this was our friends second day in a row on a range--I think I may have gotten them fully convinced that reloading is the way to go.

Sounds like a good way to spend Father's Day. A good family outing! I load, because if I did not, would shoot much less. Currently load .38, 9mm, .40, 45ACP, & 45Colt. All are easily done. Bob

Sounds like a great way to spend Father's Day for sure.

Like bananaman mentioned, I too reload and always enjoyed the reloading even though my old RCBS JR is just a one at a time press. I have reloaded since the late 70's and it is an enjoyable hobby and easier on the pocketbook.

Reloading does take the bite out of the ammo prices.

Pistol and revolver does help but it is really helpful if you do a
LOT of shot gun shooting or a ATA Trap member or other group
that drive around to shoots.
If by chance you shoot a .410, 28 or 16 Ga. you really understand the word "Savings"!

With 20 rifle cartridges at $20 to $45 a box depending on calibers.
it is the only way to fly.

Glad you had a fun time at the range and the kids had a great outing. Nothing better than family time together.
