Hi folks!

Greetings from switzerland! We surely like to put holes in things, and this is not only limited to our cheese.

I am Eluveitie (a form of the Celtic helvetios, meaning "the Helvetian"; helvetia = switzerland), a weapon collector - though I only have around 45 guns right now. Of course, owning them is just one half of the story. Beeing informed and learning about these irons is the other half.

You will recognize that my english is far from perfect - we have 4 national languages in switzerland, english isn't one of them. So, you are welcome to correct me, learning is an never ending process.

So long. Cheers!

You're going to fit right in.

Welcome to the forum, I only speak one language U.S.A. English, so I will not be correcting you , so far you are doing just fine, I would very much like to know how your country sees firearms ( regulations, licensing, limitations) in the public's hands and the types of firearms you shoot , etcetera . Happy New Year to you.

Welcome aboard from coastal North Carolina. You have twice the collection I do. It seems we enjoy our guns in the same manner. Enjoy the forum.

We are always curious about the weapons of collectors and sportsmen in other countries as well as the laws that pertain to them and look forward to seeing photos and reading about your collection.

Welcome to the Forum!

I love your beautiful country! My lady and I will be there in early March, and can't wait to see it again… :)

And don't apologize for your English…it's just fine! :)

Like others have said, your English is fine and much better than some for whom it is there first and only language! You live in a beautiful country. Welcome from down south in Mississippi, USA.

I am a product of American Government funded, public schools, so your English is probably better than mine.

Regards, Welcome to the forum!

Love my K31 Swiss rifle. Well made piece of machinery.

I really think the US would have been better off copying the 7.5 X 55 round instead of inventing the 30-06. From the very start the 30-06 had an air space, which made for a long round, and a long receiver. My 7.5 X 55 ammunition is right at 308 Win velocities, so it would have done just as well at distance as the 30-06. And the 7.5 X 55 rounds I have examined, have thick rims. Which is better for automatic weapons.
