Been waiting a while to buy these. Been too much month and not enough money of late, but I finally saw daylight and ordered these from Hogue.

They are to match the other 44Spl grips I bought so many years back. Here they are on the 3".

Reasonably close for buying them 20 years apart, eh?

Great looking grips on a couple of outstanding revolvers

I favor Ahrends more than the rest for wood grips, but I have to agree those both look amazing. I like the older one they way it has the more rounded butt cap. Hogue really picks some quality wood.

Really great wood tones! Did you get to pick them up in person or was it luck of the draw in terms of wood grain? I have a similar set of grips on my hammerless j-frame.

Thanks folks! :)

Typically I use our dining room table with its great light and a tripod to take stills. My wife likes to decorate and when I look at past pics I can see Thanksgiving or Christmas or Halloween, etc. in the small details. She loves to decorate and I ride her shirt tails for background interest.

Left to my own devices you get shots like these - demonstrating some similarly matching grips for a couple of my 44Mags.

Please note the delightful background in the second image ;) and the spartan look of the first.

Here we have an example of a metaphoric brick falling on my head by way of finally noticing the background potential of Lorena's decorating.

Sold this rather disappointing 1911 and replaced it with this one.

Again, using Lorena's decorations rather opportunistically.

To answer Lady gunner's question, it was luck of the draw. I actually bookmarked a pair on Hogue's site that were more of an exact match, but that was the better part of a year back and when I used that bookmark to order, those were long gone. I am delighted with the ones I got all the same. Hogue fits my hand just right.

Wow. Beautiful grips on a pair of beautiful revolvers.

Outstanding photography, too!
