Why do you say use a REAL copper penny? The new ones while not pure copper are copper clad. How hard are you using that penny??

Lightly rub rust away after soaking with Kroil rag. Yes, a Real Penny, all copper. Have a few in tool box.

The best "mix" is tea bags and water...

Luzianne cold brew tea bag (1) and a 1/2 gallon mason jar of cold water (one of those big ones) 15 minutes add sugar to taste. Keep refrigerated and it will last a couple of days. If left at room temp it will become cloudy and skunky overnight. I make a big jar every morning. Going to get me some right now. After two cups of coffee and I do the ice tea the rest of the day. !!

I have found that I like Luzianne better than the Lipton cold brew bags.

You can soak you hand in Mt Dew and all you'll get is sticky, put one drop of stomach acid on your hand and you'll wash it off in a hurry.

The bugs out there will drive you nuts . The Air Force stepped up and got us some bug repellent . Those of you in the military back years ago remember those small clear bottles . We put them in the band of our helmet . Well one Friday we had a platform near the rocket and a buddy spilled some on the aluminium platform . By Monday it had ate a hole in that platform . How many of us used that stuff ? Mt Dew or bug repellent , which is worse ?

Went to Minnesota for National Summer camp and between the rain and the mosquitoes it was miserable. Couple of months later when out in the field I put my poncho on and the thing disintegrated. The Army insect repellent totally destroyed it. I was wet and covered in little bits of rubber.

Iced sweet tea is my favorite drink. I drink a gallon every 2 days. Second is coffee. Although it very hard to beat an ice cold glass of well water.

BTW our lake shore community recently went to "city water" and turned off our deep well.......Water taste like it came from a hog pen.......We now take our drinking water from our deep well at home. I pity city folks.

funny I just ran across this. Last week my son did the same thing with diet 7Up on a nickel chief's special. Finish was fine, but the wood grips turned white. Grips are fixed.

My Ruger Max was laying on the desk and I didn't notice that some Mt Dew had spilled and the gun was laying in a puddle of it. In only about 15 minutes a large patch of the finish was gone off the side of the slide. I covered it with a sharpie until I get a chance to get the slide refinished. Ruger has a poor finish or Mt Dew is strong stuff. What is the cost of a slide refinish now days and what would be interesting and different.

Soft drinks are very caustic, lots of bad acid used in the production.
My wife is cooperate Coke and we never drink soft drinks.
