"You're damn right!":D

I love that line, especially since Ed is a MSNBC propagandist. I doubt he even owns any of the guns he mentioned, but he needed to get that line in there to persuade people who might be on the fence that he really is "one of us".

The only thing that bothered me is when the young man said he would have shot the person holding the gun if they were still holding it up. I hope he would have held off just long enough to determine if it was the original shooter, and not someone (like maybe me) who had wrestled the gun away from the BG.

Thanks for posting this Mike.

Yep... Good guy....

Unfortunately, anti-gun activists are ignoring his bravery and playing up worst-case scenarios had he fired upon the guy holding the gun who was not the actual gunman. The anti's are doing their best to find fault with anyone who carries a gun but not trained as a police officers or soldiers... MSNBC had a headline: "Gun owner nearly kills hero" or something to that effect... They are saying it made the situation far more dangerous...

A quick quote short enough to fall under fair use with citation to William Saletan of Slate.com: "a hero mistaken for a second gunman by another would-be hero with a gun. Bang, you're dead. Or worse, bang bang bang bang bang: a firefight among several armed, confused, and innocent people in a crowd. It happens even among trained soldiers. Among civilians, the risk is that much greater."

Only the rabidly anti-gun can turn a honest, law-abiding, quick-thinking good samaritan into a potential evil doer...

It wouldn't matter WHAT had happened, as soon as the first shot was fired by the maniac, the anti-gunners were all over this......

He could have used a single shot .22 Derringer and they would have attacked "very small but deadly easily concealed handguns firing deadly high velocity ammo".......they find the evil in anything. Just to lighten my mood over this whole tragedy, I have to laugh about these liberal news idiots who have never even touched a firearm, in the service of their country or otherwise.......I love their non-sensical, improperly termed BS they try to "shock" people with....."Deadly assault pistol that shoots deadly ammunition with every pull of the trigger, with a magazine that holds as many as 40 rounds that can be replaced in less than a second"........Liberals that never had the sand to serve their nation in combat somehow see themselves fit to condemn legal gun owners......pure crap......

If a CCW holder HAD shot the original bad guy, i.e. Loughner, anti gunners STILL would have found some fault, like "untrained civilian CC holder wildly opens fire with reckless abandon in a crowd attempting to hit disturbed gunman"

Do you really expect anything else?

Nope... fairly predictable. Doesn't make it any less disturbing, however. I hate seeing good guys get smeared by folks with an agenda - a severely misguided agenda at that. I try to be reasonable and rational, but with the Brady Bunch types, it's probably a wasted effort. Now that they have their panties fully in a bunch given recent events, it's becoming apparent that they are immune to reason. Thank goodness for the NRA and their members.

My kids who went to high school in Bisbee inform me that Mr. Zamudio is a Bisbee kid, they are very proud of him. Unfortunately, Sheriff Dupnik was also a one-time Bisbee kid, so, you win some and you lose some.
