Thanks for the good news wetdog.
When I looked up the report it turned out that the police had a good photo of the female (non-shooter) inside the first range prior to the robbery. That would be why she turned herself in.

Update: Al is still in the hospital for a few more days. He is in a lot of pain. Luckily the bullet did not hit bone and was found in his pants. We are hoping they will pick up the shooter soon.
Al is angry as you would expect. They got two of his fine Caspian pistols. And an EMT [thanks you sir!] who was inside the range stopped his blood loss...cut his good $40 belt. I think that is the pain-killers talking.

This thread actually crossed my mind as I was leaving the range Sunday evening. There have actually been a couple cases where they suspect the badguys followed the victims home from the range. Kalifornistan requires handguns be transported unloaded & in a locked container. Sitting ducks, especially in a "Ha ha fat chance!" of issue county.

Prayers out for Al. We can never let our guard down, and again I'll bet the anti gunners blame us. They just don't get why a citizen needs to be armed.

Good news. Police arrested the shooter on Tuesday. 
And other local news, a few blocks away from me a man with a knife tried to rob a health food merchant. The owner, a woman BTW, is a former Philadelphia LEO and former Secret Service. It did not turn out well for the 57 year old robber who had the knife at her throat.
The lesson for us is that she forgot her gun that day and went back to get it. Wow!

Prayers for Al for a speedy recovery! I am very sorry about his guns but am glad that he is alive. I have given up on shooting ranges. I open carry in my vehicle to my farm to shoot, both ways! I have to travel through the Imperial City of Jacksonville, NC but their police chief and city attorney assure me that I will be OK!
