Those Magna stocks are not later than about 1953, but they fit your HP well and look great on there.
Congrats on picking up a 4" HP. One of my favorite revolvers to shoot.

Nice 28. I picked one up in Tulsa several years ago. Looked at it on the table and liked it but the guy didn't seem to want to deal. I came back and said if it was still there I was going to buy it. It was, I picked it up, he came off his price and I came home with it. Turns out it must have had a trigger job done as it is very light, almost too light at times, I have to warn people who shoot it. But my goodness is that thing accurate. I know whenever I am testing a new powder or bullet, the 28 is the test pistol because it shoots straight. I refinished a set of Herretts on mine, love them.

I think the 28-2 is still one of the best values in a 357 revolver right now. They are really hard to beat. I still have the one I bought in 1978.
