Here in Oregon between 2500-3000 2nd amendment supporters gathered Saturday at our state capitol in Salem at high noon. There was one lady who held a anti-gun sign, but never engaged any of the rally group in debate. She stood quietly, and made her feelings known.

New's coverage was very good, and most of the reporters commented that this was the most peaceful rally they have covered for a long time. I guess they were looking for a "OCCUPY SALEM" type of rally with loud protests like we saw across america with the Occupy movements.

One representative was interviewed by a local station, and she commented "all these people did today was stand in the cold, because our minds are made up, we will get gun control, and they accomplished nothing". This is the type of attitude that we are fighting on the state and national level, and I am at a loss on how to alter their opinion. Thanks to all who made their states rally on Saturday...........

You have my sympathy regarding your elected official's (I won't say representative) comments. All you can do is keep demonstrating, send letters, make calls, etc. to your elected official. You can also send money or sign-up new members for the pro-gun outfit of your choice. Martin Luther King, Jr. didn't change things after his first speech or march and neither will we.
