Heading down to Portland quite a bit lately. Where are the best places to buy components and shotshells?

Thanks,

I haven't found any shotshells cheaper than walmart at $4.67 for federal. When i went to school there, the city of portland had very few gun shops and i had to go past gresham or up to vancouver. At least you get to swing by cabelas on the way down.

I don't know personally, but...
Go here, download the complete most current monthly FFL list for Oregon and find all the shops around Portland, Clackamas and Oregon City by name. The file is in excel format, so you will need excel or one of the freeware programs that will allow you to see it.

No enthusiast should be without it. :)

There is a small shop out Mill Plain toward east Vancouver, before you get to the mall. Can't remember the name of it,and it's been a year or so since I was there but I seem to remember they had a pretty good selection of reloading stuff. Also, A Place To Shoot in Delta Park had a fair supply, and Fishermans Marine wasn't too bad either. There used to be a place in St. John's, near the bridge, and they were fairly well stocked but I think they went out of business.

Thanks for the info.

I have to be careful at Cabela's. An 870 slug gun priced at $219.00 followed me home last time I was there.

The shop in St. Johns is "Shooter Service Center". John, the owner, runs a great shop. His hours are a bit varied so again a call would be smart.
