It'd be interesting to see what all falls under this specific definition of "assault weapon". $2000 tax credit for a $100 gun in some cases? I'd say use that to your advantage and let them think they're getting the upper hand lol. Not saying I'd do it, not whatsoever, just an interesting thought.

Holy cow! I've got an old beater .22. If I can just find a black fiberglass stock with a "deadly" pistol grip from Midway, I'm gettin paid! I don't care if I have to dremmel the heck out of it, I'll make it work!

Oh and as for the Spikes Tactical, that will remain in the gun safe right where it belongs.

I can see it now, pistol grips for 870's sales going through the roof. That beater you found at a pawn shop for $100 just became an investment. A very high-yielding investment.

Take a look at the list. There is some cheap junk on it so there might be some opportunities for you gamesters to play it up for profit, if you so desire - once it passes.

Mini-14s are on the list but I don't see anything about Mini-30s.

Some Hi-Points are on there. Ought to be a little margin there. Might want to stock up on speculation right now. :D

Please don't turn in your M-1 Carbines. (Yes, they are on the list. :()

These gun grabbers just introduced a bill that would let the IRS give plp a 2000 tax credit if you turn your assault weapon in all I got to say is FROM My COLD DEAD Hands!

The way things are going, it will cost that much just for the lower. The gubmint can't afford it.

Very interesting. 2k credit across 2 years, so 1000 fo 2 years. I got a new Moss 715t plinkster I paid nowhere near that for.

And they say the FEDS are broke we need to have this bill blocked!

Talk about abusive to the constitution. As proponents of the 2nd Amendment and taxpayers this needs to be STOPPED!
Talk about a waste of Taxpayer dollars
I will have none of this!

Why not a Bill to promote a tax credit for purchasing a Gun Safe?

Are the Chinese aware that the administration is using borrowed Chinese funds to give tax credits to the tune of $2K for long guns found in a landfill?

We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force.

Too bad it is only for one gun. I could see buying guns just to turn in. Buy a gun for a few hundred bucks and turn it in. I get a tax break, manufacturer gets to sell a gun, dealer gets to sell a gun...

Heck, maybe I could turn them in to some agency that will then auction them off so someone can get a good deal on a new gun at a police auction.

Personally, I think they should give us a tax break for BUYING a gun and thereby doing our bit to help the economy and fight crime.
