I have been away from the Forum for a month or so. Took a trip to North Carolina to see my grand daughter graduate from high school and collage, she was in an early collage program. She attended a local community college instead of high school, she got her diploma and two associate degrees, one in biology and the other in science. She will be attending the University of Colorado in Fort Collins pre-veterinarian program starting in July.
My wife and i took a couple side trips to visit the Buffalo Trace distillery and the Willit distillery. Visited family and came home and had two hernias repaired.
I did some writing about my time in Vietnam and shared it with my brothers and wife and son. No one seems to treat me any different. My wife said she now understands better some of my weirdness.
Not being able to do to much has left time to read and enjoy the spring. I thought I could do some reloading with this down time but the doc said no lifting more then 10 pounds and straining.
While traveling I was able to discover 3 untried bourbons, Old Bardstown, Bottled in Bond, E.H.Taylor Small Batch Bottled In Bond and Noah's Mill.
Now that my restriction are up and I can push the mower and operate the weed whacker, my wife is going in for surgery for a damaged nerve in her left elbow, 5 years ago on Christmas Eve she fell in the shower, we were traveling with my son and his family, she ened up in the E.R., my son told the registering person that Grandma got run over by a reindeer. She was to follow up with her Doctor when she got home, but did she... No so now they will have to reroute a nerve to allow her to get some strength back into her hand. I hope I can be the nurse she was to me while I was laid up.
But life is good. until to other shoe drops.
