Hallmark movies

Add Lifetime to that list. It was a standing joke at work that they were all the same. Some minor details might change, but the predictability was gagging.

I don't know if it's still out there, but one day in the last century I changed radio channels during rush hour and caught a thing by Billy Dee Williams. I think it was called something like Soap Opera Digest where he parodied the various soaps to keep devotees up to date. Also did voices: "Oh John"-falsetto, "Oh, Brie" deep male. Hysterically funny. Don't know if it was a one time comedy bit or a continuing thing.

I did find it amusing that Michael Ironsides (original Top Gun, plus a host of other "Heavy/Tough guy" roles back in the 80s/90s) ended up in one. I mean I realize many actors past their prime do Hallmark movies, but not Jester!!!

Never been in a Publix.
Ain't been in a Kroger lately.
But Kroger owns local chain Smiths.
They just stopped honoring my Military Retired Drug Plan.
You can't outrun these store chains!

I'd rather walk across busted Coke bottles than watch a Hallmark movie. Unfortunately the wife loves them. She wins the battle but I make insulting, non PC comments about every character in them so about halfway through she throws me the remote, gets mad and goes to the bedroom.

I've learned to fight back by watching war documentaries or The Three Stooges.

My wife watches the Hallmark channel. I call it the perfect people channel.
Everyone looks perfect. Perfect hair, teeth, completion. On occasion a senior will be on but will also be perfect. I think they kick you out of town if you become 10 pounds overweight:D

If I recall even the snow doesn't get dirty.

After ten minutes of my commentary the wife sends me to my guns to play. I never complain.

Apparently, you lose your man card when flying below the hard deck and call, "no joy" to avoid being smoked by Maverick. :D

I'd rather go to the dentist than watch Hallmark.

Even my wife calls Hallmark Movies, "Chick Flicks!"

Ivan

Mine too. She refuses to watch them, which doesn't bother me one bit. She makes up for it with "Murder She Wrote" and "Criminal Minds" marathons though.

(Even SHE jokes the most dangerous place on Earth, is wherever Jessica Fletcher shows up. Someone is going to "get dead.")

A Hallmark movie is just a camouflaged episode of "The View". No one needs to work, the government or your parents will take care of everything, just sit back and enjoy your "feelings".

Hallmark has gone completely off the rails and is totally WOKE. It is NOT the channel that the whole family can now watch-- because of the "woke political agenda" that is woven into the plots. (the plot is the same everytime.. boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl ==end of story. Now with the new WOKE story plots, it gets really UGLY and UGLY..NOT worth the time to watch -- better time spent watching infomercials.

For some reason my wife likes background noise and always has the TV on. She plays that Hallmark stuff so often that by absorption by osmosis I have seen and heard a lot of just by walking by.

Without a doubt the people that run that channel have gone on to be a serious propaganda dispenser. As others have said the plots are super simple and quite predictable (AKA boring) The scenery, well that is good they certainly pick some nice locations to film.

Course to be fair my wife critiques my TV viewing she says I like the Modern Marvels and construction type shows and of course the war stuff which she call that old Nazi.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one with the Hallmark problem.
My wife would watch that garbage 24 hours a day. I told her if I win the lottery, I'm buying the channel and turn it into 24 hour westerns.
Since Hallmark became woke my wife has been watching "The Great American Family" channel a lot. It's like the old Hallmark.
