You picked it up, what did you pay? Not a pistol I would depend on to save my life and you sure are not shooting serious target. Just a cute little S&W curio.
That is a dandy one, and the ammo is collector material also. Was the ammo original or the 1950's repro's?
I dont know any collector that does not have or all ways looks at a
safety hammerless in nic. or blue. They are just darn cute and most are
pantie drawer survivors. Never fired in the box with some period ammo.
I like the 2" examples and 4" mags. There is no rationale to my thought process.

I've had decent luck repairing small pearl damage with several coats of superglue. I use electrical tape as a 'dam' to hold it where I want it. Then I sand it smooth and polish. Just make sure you clean any dirt or discoloration out of the damage first.
