I love the Harry Palmer stories.
Made me a huge Michael Caine fan.
Check out:
"The Man Who Would be King", 1975
and
"Water", 1985
King is a John Huston adaptation of a Kipling short story. Water is a quirky cult film from George Harrison's HandMade film company.
While King could be considered a great film, Water is fun.
I'm sure he did it for the money and the fringe benefits. You'll know if you watch it.
You can watch Water on YouTube.
Brenda Vaccaro, Valeri Perrine, Billy Connolloy, Dennis Dugan, Jimmy Walker (the funniest I've ever seen him), Dick Shawn, Fred Gwynne.
Music by George Harrison, Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Jon Lord, Chris Stainton.
A great ensemble cast in a completely pointless movie.
But it's fun.
