Model M&P and a little friend a nice kitgun.

I am curious about the front sight on Thuer's M&P. Does anyone know what years snubs were manufactured with that front sight? It looks very similar to the front sight on my 4" 10-5. Also is there a name for that sight? According to the Standard Catalog the M&Ps changed from round to ramp in 1952. Is that sight considered a form of ramp? A short ramp?

On Thuer's it looks like a later barrel or that the sight was altered.

Tipoc, I think that's only a half-moon with a partial eclipse.

Thuer, is that M&P a bright and early post-war gun?

The sight on my M&P is altred. There is a colour difference on the top. It is nice checkred but not original fabric.

Yes. They made Model 19s in 38 special in both 2 1/2 inch and 4 inch.
