I am curious about the front sight on Thuer's M&P. Does anyone know what years snubs were manufactured with that front sight? It looks very similar to the front sight on my 4" 10-5. Also is there a name for that sight? According to the Standard Catalog the M&Ps changed from round to ramp in 1952. Is that sight considered a form of ramp? A short ramp?

Tipoc, I think that's only a half-moon with a partial eclipse.

Thuer, is that M&P a bright and early post-war gun?
 
My 1974 vintage 10-5 2". I snagged this a couple of years ago at a gun show for $205. It was before I got into revolvers and didn't realize what a steal it was at the time.
