I found a Pietta 44 Cal engraved and unfluted in my safe when cleaning my firearms. It is mint and unfired. I have no idea where it came from or what it is.

Anyone else come across a firearm that you were not aware of? LOL

I was looking for a particular pistol that I had a spare magazine for.
(A Beretta 21A.) Whilst diggin' round for it I found an FN model 1906 in amongst an assortment of Colt model Ns & FN 1906s. I don't have any recollection of it, but there it is just the same. Oddly, I found an envelope containing $1750 in there, too. No idea about that, either. Hmmm........Oh well....Happy day!

Don't get me wrong, but I am intimately familiar with each and every gun in my safe, plus a few that hide in a closet.:eek::D

Reloading stuff

I have never found a Gun that I have forgotten
about.

I have found reloading components that I
forgot I had. That was a bonus when I
started reloading for my new 41Rem Mag!

Have a good day.

I have several guns that are either sentimental or family inherited guns, so I keep several lists of every gun that I own. I have one list with all the descriptions and serial numbers. I also have another list of how they were obtained or who owned them prior to me. I also have a third list for individual guns (Springfield M-1's) that list each gun part by part. When my kids get them, they will know the history of each one with the lists. I do have accoutrements that I have forgotten about due to the old age syndrome of CRS!

I would think that if you have guns you've forgotten about, then whatever it is one gets out of collecting them it is not about the guns. It is about something else. What? I have no idea.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Hi, Buddy:
The Pistol and money you were holding for me, your best Buddy Jimmy.
When is it convent for me to drop by and relieve you of the responsibility ?

Jimmy

A CZ 52 in 9 MM. Yes, a "Civilian" CZ 52 that I bought during the glory day's of Curio & Relic. Polished blue slide to make it more desirable. I vaguely remember buying it along with a whole herd of C&R guns.

As milsurp guy, I am in mortal danger of this affliction. I opened a rifle case to discover a Russian refurbished k98k with intact dirty birds (I know, weird) that I had no memory of buying. Usually, I can recall my buys because it was a gun show score or one that slipped by the herd during an online estate auction. A search of my emails came up blank, but it did remind me about a couple of killer buys I made. I have a banker's box full of receipts that might reveal information. Guess I should download Libre Office and get typing. ;)
