Hello from California

I know I'm in CA (aka, Communist Area) but as you know life isn't perfect. I'm envious of everyone who can just buy any handgun from forum/gunbroker/online without first checking whether it's in the roster.

Anyways, I'm actually a new gun owner (picked up my first firearm, Mossberg 88, end of 2024) and since then bought several new handguns including a new S&W 610.

Unfortunately, I had to send the 610 in to S&W last week (one day after the 10 day wait period) due to light strikes (15 rounds out of 100 10mm, and about 3 rounds out of 100 .40).

I've realized that I do prefer revolvers so I bought 2 more revolvers and some reloading equipment.

Looking forward to learning from old-timers here.

Hey neighbor, yup already got FFL03+COE but tbh I spend way more $$$ on ammo than guns which is kinda crazy. I feel that modern guns are not that expensive if we factor in inflation but ammo price is crazy especially for the niche rounds such as 44 special, 32 h&r magnum and 327 federal magnum. Even for something like .40 s&w, it adds up. I think for each of the guns (both shotguns and handguns), I've already spent over 5x the price of the guns on ammo in 3 months...

Once you start reloading you realize what the true cost is.

Have you always been a high volume shooter?

If you have a Range where you can shoot for free. When I did I shot three times a week. If I have to pay for range time then its once or twice a month.
