new member with lots of questions about a m 29 - 4 i own. it has a 2 " full lug mag - a ported barrel, unfluted cyclinder, round butt, sn # bdzxxx, production #31698 with a lite stamp of a20 above it, factory monogrips, pinned front site. any help is need. look on every internet site with no luck.

Your 29 was born in May of 1989. Welcome to the site!

A 2" Magna-ported version doesn't appear to be cataloged. Product code 102151 was a 29-4, 3", unfluted, Pachmayr SKGR grips, target hammer, target trigger, red ramp front sight, white outline rear, 2532 manufactured in 1989. I don't see a reference to "31698".
