Hello from Tucson, AZ

How is it to live in AL?
Well, summers are hot and humid, as you might guess. Fresh green chile is hard to come by (major drawback). Hunting seasons are long with liberal bag limits (very good). Cost of living is fairly low. I was born and raised here, my wife is a New Mexico native, so we've always had dual citizenship 😉 and have lived both places plus a 6-year stint in Arkansas. I miss the desert and all the open public land in the west but we try to get back out there to visit pretty often, and plan to do more of that when we retire in a couple of years. All of our grandkids are within two hours of us here so that kinda keeps us anchored here now.

Picked up another S&W revolver today in a trade: 25-5 8-3/8" TT TH RR WO.

Decent shape. No box or manual.

Welcome from Marana!
I operated a weather station in Marana.

Funny story: all of our weather stations were surrounded by a 30 ft by 30 ft square of grass so that we could get accurate soil temperatures. The station that I was operating in Marana had a small maybe one foot berm of soil around it to contain the water and I had to turn on and irrigation pump that pulled pump out of a local waterway and flood-irrigate the area. I don't remember if the water came from the CAPS canal or where. Anyway, it was 114° one day and I had finished up work on the weather station and turned the pump on to irrigate the grass while I sat in the air conditioned van and did my report. I would let the pump run for about 20 or 30 minutes until the water got near the top of the berm and then I would shut it off and leave. I'm sitting there getting ready to get out and turn the pump off and I see a damn catfish swimming around in the bermed off area. Dafuk! So, I'm in the middle of the freaking desert, it's 114° out, and there's a damn catfish swimming around my weather station. 🤣 Weirdest thing ever.
