Hey all, I just put down a deposit for MOE version yesterday so I still have some time to wait before I pick her up. This rifle will be my first firearm and a stepping stone into the AR platform. Ohhhh booyyyyy I can't wait :)

I am glad my state let"s you take it home the same day you buy it ! Hope you took a pic of it, that will get you by the next 10 days. Welcome to S&W M&P 15-22 :D

congrats, woah 10 days... that's a long cool down period! .22LR is nice training tool, especially the M&P 15-22. But wait till you fire the 5.56mm or 7.62mm

I was set on getting the standard version and threading the barrel at some point, but I figured it'll be more cost efficient if I just get the MOE.

As far as the wait goes, i'm going to do some shopping for accessories and the essentials :)

Welcome and use some of your "wait time" to explore the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge to be had, backed up by a lot of very experienced people. You'll find that knowledge to be beneficial in aiding you in your search to deck out your rifle. Enjoy! :D

This forum has been very helpful before I even bought the rifle :) I'm looking forward to learn more about this fine rifle.

I do have a question, is it ok to store the rifle with the upper and lower receivers separated? I plan on keeping the rifle in a two compartment discreet case since the rifle will be for the range only and I do live with much younger siblings.

get a well padded case for split. LEO love it when the AR is split in traveling and it will protect you and your family

pelican 1700 FTW
