Look what happens when I'm not around. I can't leave y'all alone for one day. First, let me say "THANK YOU" to Lee, and to all the members here. I never ever intended or expected this when I posted my flood thread. (see what you've done. I'm crying as I try to type this). I honestly don't know what to say, except thank you. I'm a little embarrassed though. All my life I've always been more concerned with what I can do for others, and not what I'm going through. I won't bore you with everything I've been through. But I will say that through it all, I've never changed my attitude of helping and giving to others. And my faith in God has gotten stronger through all the tough times. It's always easy to give up. I refuse to do that.
My guns, the few that I have, give me a lot of pleasure. But if I had to sell every one of them, I would. I look at so many of my neighbors who have practically everything they own setting out to the curb. I realized the first day of this flood just how blessed I was. It wouldn't have taken much more and everything I own would be out to the curb too. But I was spared. My water heater and the damage to my basement/foundation is small compared to what I see around me every day.
Again, I never intended for anyone here to bail me out of this. No pun intended. I have had a new water heater put in, but I still owe the plumber/neighbor money on it. I was able to get an advance from my bank to pay for part of it. The advance will be deducted, with interest, from my June Disability/Social Security deposit. So for the next couple weeks, I'm ok. I've been trying to figure out how to pay back the advance, and what I still owe the plumber, by the time my next SSDI deposit hits. That's why I figured I would sell 2 or 3 guns. As of now, the only one that has been sold is my Mod. 15-4. I still have the K-22 and my Win. 94/22, as well as my others.
Again, I want to thank my forum family for everything. For the prayers, well wishes, requests for donations, and just for being such an inspiration and great bunch of people. A special thanks to Lee, for doing so much to make this place what it is. I'll quit the rambling now, before my laptop suffers water damage. God bless!
