I was hoping to get some help identifying my latest purchase.

It's a 38 S&W CTG, hand ejector, 2" barrel, serial number 80869, fixed sights.

If I missed any more useful information please let me know.

You have what is known as a .38/32 (postwar)Terrier and, after 1957, was also assigned a Model 32 identity. I don't keep up with the ship date for those unique serial numbers but others will be along who do.

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Your snub is a .38/32 Terrier, a pre-model 32 from 1956, or so. Give us a picture of the right sideplate.

When it comes to revolvers and a good price I almost always buy first! See if these have all the information you guys need.

It appears you have a 5 screw frame which will help an expert like Hondo44 pin down when it might have shipped. S&W ordered the upper sideplate screw eliminated in 1955.
