I don't get the fascination with these things.
They are huge! They are clumsy. They are ineffective.
410's in shotguns are expert's guns for small birds at short shotgun range. Think 6oz quail at 25 yards or less.
From a 3 inch barrel, after crossing the cylinder/barrel gap, you've lost considerable velocity. They are difficult to hit anything with beyond arms lenght and if you hit, you have little penetration.
In 45, you have a huge revolver. It has to be huge: it has chambers long enough to accommodate a 2.5 or 3 inch shotgun shell.
Aside from being huge, it has a tremendous amount of freebore which results in loss of hundreds of fps on velocity.
So now you have a huge 45 revolver that shoots several hundred feet per second less than published velocities.
It might be effective at arm's length against a man, but wouldn't be something I'd want to lug around. I can't imagine thinking it would be much use in bear country. I don't even think it would be much use for potting a grouse or rodent for dinner.
It seems more a tribute to slick marketing than anything else.
Just my opinion of course!
