Help with Covid Vaccine, have you had yours??

Wife and son both got their second shot of Pfizer this week. The wife had no ill effects whatsoever. Our son felt terrible the next day - chills, aches, and lethargy. He's fine now, though. Son didn't want to get the vaccine. He wanted to wait and see about any long term side effects first. I encouraged him to get vaccinated, but didn't say he had to. He is 18, so I figured it's his choice. When the wife got her second shot she posted on facebook that she was fully vaccinated and added #microchipped and #genetically altered to mess with her friend who believes all the conspiracy theories.

So now we've all had the virus and both shots. We should be good to go.

6.8 million vaccinated. Six got blood clots. One died. The phrase "Out of an abundance of caution," which cancelled 2020, comes to

mind . . .

"That number has now risen to 15, Tom Shimabukuro, a CDC vaccine safety expert, told the committee. The number may rise; Shimabukuro said "just under 10" possible additional cases are being investigated. Of the 15 cases so far, 12 involve a clot in the brain called a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis, or CVST; the other three people had a variety of other clots, also serious. Three of the confirmed cases have died."

Yes, a small number but that number continues to grow.

How many people got that clot that didn't get the vaccine? I'll help. About 10,000 per year . . .

I've had both Moderna shots with the 2nd one about a month ago. All I had was a sore arm each time with the 2nd shot causing a little bit worse of a sore arm. My wife just had her 2nd Moderna shot Friday. She got the sore arm Friday but it kicked her azz Friday evening and all day and night Saturday. Chills, fever, headache, slept almost all day Saturday and Saturday night. She's much better today but is lacking energy.

Wife got the 2nd Pfizer Fri and had flu like symptoms all day Sat, but was back to normal on sun.
I'll get mine when the "control" group has weeded out all the side effects.

A friend of mine,a PT,provides therapy and rehab mostly to geezers who have suffered strokes.Over the last year she has been inundated with 20-40 somethings who have suffered serious, life changing strokes due to the virus. It is nasty

(I had a stroke a year and a half ago,you really don't want one.)

We are all done at our house with no issues. Now flying overseas is possible again!
BUT... my BIL and friend since childhood refused to get one due to.. all kinds of reasons. One being that he hardly ever gets sick, which is true. I spent an hour on phone with him 3 weeks ago and my sister finally got him to get the jab last Friday. Unfortunately he was already infected about 2 weeks earlier from his church where they decided masks were no longer needed. Several of his church group friends are infected. He is 64 and is down for the count although he has not had to be hospitalized as of this morning.
THe crazy or sad part about his decision to get the shot... his adult children would not let him come to see them until he was vaccinated. So my sister spent a weekend up in Durham NC with the grandkids ..without him. I think that was the straw that broke... and he got vaccinated. Unfortunately, he waited about 3 weeks to long to make that decision. We are praying he recovers fully.

Got my second Moderna shot Friday. No sore arm at all but felt like I got ran over by a truck Saturday and part of Sunday. Chills the first night and I still have a headache and feel a little foggy. Wasn't expecting this cause I felt nothing after the first dose. Oh well I'm in the club now!

That's simplistic, but there are a hell of a lot of survivors suffering life long complications from this virus. Think about it some more [emoji4]

That goes both ways...

"VAERS data released today showed 118,902 reports of adverse events following COVID vaccines, including 3,544 deaths and 12,619 serious injuries between Dec. 14, 2020 and April 23, 2021."

I decided not to get an experimental vaccine to allegedly protect me from a disease with a >98% survival rate.
Well I got my second shot the end of March. I'm older and have a couple of underlying conditions.

What I don't understand is if you are totally vaccinated or have had the virus; why can't you go about your business. According to the CDC if you are vaccinated you cannot get the virus from anyone and you can't give give the virus to anyone. Those folks the other night sitting a room that can hold 1600 people and they were all wearing masks and sitting 10 feet apart. Seems to me that they know something that we don't know or they are playing us for fools. Which is it?

Think about it. Experimental vax, you get both of them and...

- You still need more of them, or so the experts will tell you.
- You still need to wear a mask (masks are supposed to keep outgoing viruses from being projected from your nose/mouth, NOT to protect you from incoming.
- You sill need to socially distance yourself.
- You can still catch the china flu
- You don't, and nobody else either, knows the long-terms effects that screwing with RNA/DNA will have on your body. Some projections are pretty scary.

So, why would I want to be a guinea pig for big pharma?
What advantages are there in taking the vax? I am still at risk of catching it and suffering those "life-long complications".
