I got my 2nd shot on the 19th at 13:30 hours at the VA.

Just in case things go wrong..........
I went down to Total Wines today and picked up three US wines and four bottles from Germany.

At least I will go out with a bang.

Sweet & sour Pork stir fry, tonight.

My brother got his first shot of the Pfizer vaccine on Thursday. He hasn't had any problem with it. This gives me some assurance since I am scheduled to get the Pfizer vaccine in a couple weeks.

2nd Pfizer shot scheduled for this afternoon. Fortunately I have nothing on my calendar for the next couple of days in case I have some side effects. My Dad (89) had his second Moderna Friday before last, and felt lousy for a couple of days. My brother in Las Vegas, NV had his 2nd Pfizer a few weeks ago, and said that it kicked his butt even though he had no reaction to the 1st one. I had nothing after the 1st except a sore arm and a bit of fatigue the next day.

Check your local sources folks. Here in FL the Feds are operating under open rules. Your mileage may vary, local administration has authority. Wear clean underwear.

Who is too easily confused and will complete the series at his local supermarket pharmacy.

I got my second Moderna Friday at noon. Kicked my butt for about 24 hours. First, chills, then felt like I weighed 500 lbs. Sore all over most of the day Saturday. Good now, and glad I'm fully vaccinated.

COVID shots--Pfizer

The COVID vaccine situation in Iowa is chaotic at best but we finally got our first on Friday March 5. We only had to drive 250 miles RT to get it. The procedure was very professionally done. We just received email confirmation our second shot will be given Monday 3/29 at the same pharmacy. Some feedback is that second shot has more after effects. I am going to get the second shot in my right arm since my left has had way too many shots going back to my Army days.

What's the so-called time frame for full immunization?

Got my second Pisser shot today. Got a headache immediately after that lasted an hour. It was not crowded. On Mar 31st Indiana opens up shots to everyone. Lady at the hospital where I got mine says it will be a madhouse. I feel very crowded in crowds. Glad it's done.

I got my second Pfizer dose on Friday. This time I had no pain or stiffness in the arm whatsoever. On Saturday I woke up with a mild headache and mild joint pain but Advil took care of that easily. I didn't get a fever or chills at all like I did 4 days after the first shot. I did feel very fatigued though on Friday and Saturday and ended up taking about a 2 hour nap each of those days and fell asleep on couch after dinner each of those nights.

I had read that adverse reactions to the second shot could be worse than the first and I was ready for it, but I actually had a much easier time with the second shot. I felt great yesterday and today so I figure I'm through the worst of it.

Mrs. and I had 1st Moderna Feb 22. I wondered if they even poked me, no reaction, no hematoma, nothing. Wife had a sore arm and felt a little tired for three days.

2nd shot for both of us Monday past. Same reactions as the first shot. Mrs. sore arm, me nothing. I'm underwhelmed....

Update, Second dose of Moderna on Saturday morning 03-27-21.

Second dose injected at 8:15AM. By noon I had a serious headache. By 3PM I had aches in every joint in my body and started into cycles of chills and feverish.

Following morning, moderate headache and general lethargy. By 2PM I was snoozing again, off and on for the evening and overnight, period chills and joint pains. Injection site very sore with noticeable swelling and surface rash.

Second day, headache much reduced, still felt generally tired and unfocused.

This morning, 72 hours after the injection, mild joint discomfort. Of those 72 hours I have probably slept about 35 hours total, an hour or two at a time. Planning on returning to my usual activities, but at a slow pace.

Not fun!

I'll receive my second Pfizer injection on April 6th. Post first injection on March 16th I headed to the gym to work the vaccine into my shoulder muscles, as taught in the military. To date I've had zero side effects. Let's hope the second stab goes as smooth.
