Help with Victory Navy please

Just acquired a Victory Navy that appears to be unfired. Need help dating it please. Serial number V1864XX. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

This Victory is so nice that I'm having a hard time trying to decide whether I should fire it or not. I'm wanting to but should I?

Do you want to keep it as a safe queen for investment purposes? If so, don't shoot it. I don't believe occasional shooting will hurt the value so long as it is gently handled and cared for. But I wouldn't carry it around in a holster every day. Enjoy it while you can. Life is short and it could become tomorrow's contraband if some have their way.

I don't understand. You just got it and can't decide if you want to shoot it? Did you buy it or inherit it? If the former then I say do what makes you happy. Did you buy a gun or did you buy a piece of art? If it was bequeathed to you, then I would treat it as a memento and leave it as is. Go buy a shooter for $300 and bang the hell out of it.
