Henry .22 is Awesome!!

I DID get to handle a Henry “Small Game” carbine with factory installed Skinner peep sights. Guys, suffice it to say I will be installing them VERY soon on this gun!! The only low point of my Henry is the rear semi buckhorn sight. The U-notch aperture is super tiny and visibility of the front sight is poor. It’s just not a great sight picture.

I need to send my receiver cover to get drilled and tapped for the Skinners!!

Congrats on getting the Henry H001T! I knew you'd love it. It is a great, fun rifle. I also find the standard sights challenging since my other .22 rifles all have scopes. I've looked at other sight options but haven't gotten around to swapping them yet. I may not since it so much fun to shoot it without worrying about small groups. But, let us know what you do to yours.

GUYS okay I called Skinner Sights this morning and discussed with the nice man about my Henry. He said the receiver mounted rear peep might work with my gold bead factory front, but said I could order a taller front sight and if it turns out I won’t need it, to send the front sight back for a refund no problem! Went to the post office today and dropped off the receiver cover for the drill and tap Skinner treatment!!! Also included money for a dovetail sight filler and plug screws.

Will update when the sights come in. I just KNEW after handling the Henry with Skinners in the store I HAD to have them!! Take care gang, LOVE my Henry!!

PS: Today I signed up for a local Appleseed in October and I plan to take my Henry! Probably won’t win a patch but I’m looking to get as much out of it and to learn more about running my new favorite gun, my Henry!!
