Here's the Problem

There is a belief in some cultures that only manly, strong, men can father mostly male children. The same story goes on to suggest that men that produce only girls have something wrong with them. Whether this is true or not, that is the story, and it is peculiar to the latin cultures and the romance language based cultures.

Me? I don't believe a word of it because I have known too many he-men that brought lots of girls into the world and also men that fathered only boys and were less than he-men.

Sex of the baby has more to do with the woman anyway.

but I do wonder if living with only females has anything to do with the development of personality, problem solving, and people managing skills.

Ahh... well, as my father, who has 3 daughters, said, "It takes a tough man to raise girls."

Jimmy Carter's 4 children are:
John William Carter
James Earl Carter III
Donnel Jeffrey Carter
Amy Lynn Carter

I beelieve 3 are male. Most of us in Georgia don't claim ole Jimmy though.

One of my favorite lines in a movie was in "Fight Club" when the two guys were after the same woman.

"...we are a generation of men raised by women...I'm not sure the answer is another woman."

Of course I don't believe the manly man theory but I do wonder if living with only females has anything to do with the development of personality, problem solving, and people managing skills.

Living with a wife and two daughters certainly did a number on my personality. Probably for the better. I try to get my way from time to time, but the only other male backup I have is Lucky Taco the wiener dog, and he's usually smart enough to stay out of it.

What makes you believe Chelsea is Clinton's daughter???

My grandpa, between two marrages fathered 11 daughters and 5 sons!! He died young, about 66. He also raised a step son for a total of 17! Dad was the oldest of 10 from his secound wife. Grandma was a widow with a son, grandpa lost his first wife with 6. so it was like 6,+ 1 + 10 = 17! Brith dates went 1898 to 1934. I belive grandma was 46 when the youngest was born. Grandpa was 58 when the youngest was born.

As one with 2 grown daughters Amen to that!

I was going through my divorice and fighting for my daughter. A old man I knew took me aside and advised me. He said he also had a wife that ran off many years ago. He said he raised 3 daughters by himself, and thought I "should rethink that"! He said he would rather raise 6 sons than one daughter!
