Hi folks...

...I retired my Kimber Ultra Tactical carry gun so I'll see about re-homing it also...
Thanks for all the kind welcomes, folks, I appreciate it...Retiring my Kimber carry gun came at the right moment...I bought it used ten years ago, shot it that day, and from the next decade carried it with the same Winchester 230 gr. FMJ's that I put back into the box last week...Today I walked it around and showed it to a lot of people hoping to realize a small profit, but no such luck...

However I came across a one-table "collector" who liked it and wanted it for his own carry gun since he had an abundance of .45 ammo, but nothing to shoot it with...As luck would have it, he also had a gun I've been lusting after, a blued Colt Diamondback, but with the astronomical rise in prices lately, they have stayed out of my greedy grasp...Locally I've seen prices from as low as $1800 for well worn blued examples to $3500 for ANIB nickled ones...

This one had no box, but was absolutely mint otherwise...A lot of people won't even put a price tag on their guns, forcing buyers to ask, and he was one of these...At my query he quoted me $1400, and I tried to hide my growing excitement...We talked trade from that point, and at the end I got back the $700 I had spent on the Kimber 10 years ago, while he came down $100 from his asking price...

Guns and my $600 changed hands and we both parted company happy...I did wait until I got out of sight before I broke into the gun dance...It's nice to have free use of a nice Kimber for ten years...:D...Ben
