Time to start playing with the TC Encore .44 Mag carbine barrel I purchased from Bullberry Barrels. After reading all the raves about coated bullets I picked up some Missouri Bullets 240 gr. TCFP Hi Tek coated cast.
I have the Lyman Cast Manual. It does not list the exact molded bullet I have. I used some 240 gr. data from a bullet that was similar in design. I started on the low end of the data and loaded 10 rounds of each load, stepping up the charge weight to a mid range load using 2400.
I'll use some old Remington Factory 240's to sight the rifle in. Then get into the accuracy testing using the cast.
My question is does the Hi Tek coating affect the load weights as compared to a non coated cast bullet data in the Lyman manual. Wanted to ask before I get up to the upper end loads.
Thanks for any help.
