My new 28-2. Like new with original box/papers. N serial number, appx 1978 mfg. Its in excellent condition, I love this gun!

I give you a thumbs up! That is one of my favorite revolvers, outstanding for sure. A solid hand cannon.
 
Holy cow congrats! Does the box indicate that it came with the target stocks?
 
It would say T (for Target Stocks) if indeed it shipped with those Football Targets.
Unless of course someone at the factory made a boo-boo.
 
My 28-2 is one of my guns on the never-sell list.It has seen a lot of use,and there are rough spots on the finish,but it is as tight as the day it was made,and is capable of more accuracy than I am.Yours looks like a real keeper.

Welcome to the FORUM! What a "BEAUTY" you have there. I looked at 1 at the last gun show, but did not buy. Have a 6
", 28 no dash from 1960. Hard to beat a 28! Bob
 
That was my first duty gun in 1977. I bought it and carried it through the academy and my rookie year, when I found a 4" 19. I'm hoping to find another one for my collection some day soon.
