History of Smith & Wesson Copies

Belgium has to hold the record for the most patent infringements for firearms, going back way before S&W copies have posted this one before, a double action Belgium copy that also had a Bridgeport rig copy so two infringements in one! Interesting that it was built to look like a S&W 44 DA, but caliber marked Schofield 44 S&W . . . and chambered 44 Winchester! Gun functioned and shot fine.

I saw this Belgian copy of a S&W n° 2 on a French online store. The barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON SPRINFIELD MASS PATENTS AP 8 55 JUIV 6 59 NOV 24 63".
