With all this gun and ammo hoarding going on is anyone buying gun cleaning supplies? Like nylon, bronze, brass, bore brushes, oil, cleaner, extra parts? Spring kits? Patches? Lead remover bore cleaner?

I'm a pack rat by nature and whenever cleaning supplies, etc. went on sale I bought them even though I didn't need any at the time, so I'm good in the department.

Also when S&W decided to drop the 3rd Gen's, I could see the hand writing on the wall and started buying parts while they were available and affordable.

I usually buy cleaning supplies, solvents & oils every other year. I buy in bulk, get free freight and a discount (Brownell's usually runs a descent sale every so often and that's when I jump on it). When I do place an order I buy enough for a couple of years and so I never need to worry about paying freight, running out, back orders, etc. I will usually get a few friends involved in the bulk order as well. If there are any out of stock items, Brownell's ships them out when they become available with free shipping.

BigBill,

Why are you against folks stocking up on gun cleaning supplies and parts (hoarding using your term)?

Just personal preferences I guess..... I'm a minimalist. Like to be able to pack-up and move without a great deal of logistics.

IMHO as always,
J.

I just was on Midway , working my way through the sale section . Picked up parts and mag springs , a decocker assy for my 1076 and 4536 , and a barrel for the 1076 . I kept adding stuff , it blew up to over $200 . Well it would have gone to ammo , so might as well buy parts .
