I really like the feel of Hogue’s piranha grips. What do you think of these?

I haven't tried them but like how they look. I'm wondering how they feel after a few cylinders of .357mag. I still have the stock grips on mine.

I have them on a TRR8 and shoot plenty of 357 with no problem. But that 340 is a completely different beast. They do make the same grip without the checkering.
I was thinking rubber vs g10. I'm not that worried about the texture.

I tried the VZ grips which a similar. I can tell you how they feel. They hurt!

I've tried many different grips and am now using the little rubber boot grips Smith is shipping on some of their J frames.

I find them a good compromise between concealment and comfort.

For my 3" Model 60 .357 I do use the larger, backstrap covering VZ grips. Look decent, less concealable but allow me to get more hand on the gun.

I put a set of Uncle Mikes combats on my M&P340. They are way more comfortable than the factory grips. This is on my carry piece and the Mikes grips don't print any more than the factory boot grips. An even more cushioning grip is the Pachmayer Compac's. Smaller than the Uncle Mikes but not as much to grab onto. Pic below is the Uncle Mikes. I have Uncle Mikes on all my round butt pistols.

Thats one of my favorite J frame grips also. VZ makes a very similarly shaped grip albeit made from a different material.

I wish the Uncle Mike's were still being made.

I have a 340PD and run Hogue J Frame Round Butt Rubber Bantam grips. They are excellent for concealment purposes as I carry the revolver either in a PCS pocket holster or an ankle rig.

Just remember, "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch." They conceal well but, for me, don't contribute well to the use of .357 Magnum ammunition. I carry Speer 135 grain Gold Dot .38 Special +P. The grips are GTG for me with that load.

HTH.
