Hogue woods were lonesome!

Nice.
To my eyes, Hogue's wood grips look better than their rubber grips.
Those look about perfect on that L frame, BTW.

Thanks for the compliments. Kind of second guessing myself right now, as another revolver that I was considering that day was a very nice pinned 66-1 with box & tools. Oh well, I will not be carrying this, and the L frame will be very comfortable to shoot.

Great looking gun and grips. I just ordered a set of Hogue Tulip Bantam grips for my 3" 629. I was hoping the Tulip wouldn't be too light in color. Good timing on your post! What style are the ones you have?

Frank, sorry 'bout that. I realized I'd hit the wrong button 1 second too late. Have a good one!

WPROCT.......Man I like the way you think ! 'Just happen to have this set of grips looking for something to put it on'.......
I've got a couple of boxes of ammo that I do not have revolver for ! I'm just going to go out and get myself a Christmas present...(or two)
Anyway......that's a great looking 686.......ya done good son !.....

These were the round K/L frame finger groove full size combat grips. I just really like the Hogue Tulipwood grips, I have 3 sets of them. I hope you will be very happy with yours.

I'm sure I will. I have Hogue monogrips on my 629 6 1/2" Classic and love 'em! I was back and forth on the color and length. Whatever the case, I know they'll be a HUGE improvement compared to the stock Talo "shredders"!:D

Either one is a good choice.
Great thing about the L frame you got is you can shoot the snot out of it with full power magnum ammo.
If you so choose, that is.

Those look great! I may get a set of those for my 686 snubby and save the factory finger groove grips.

I find the factory grips to be somewhat uncomfortable to shoot as they don't fit my hand.

Great choice...
