Welcome to the forum. I really like your 686. My very first S&W revolver was a 686-3 Classic Hunter with the unfluted cylinder just like yours, except mine has the 6 inch barrel and is a six shot. I still have that gun and it is my very favorite to shoot out of all my S&Ws.

You can shell out some big bucks for holsters, but check this out before you buy:

You won't find a better price and the quality is par excellent! Read some of the reviews when you get to the website.

I have bought several holsters (Shado) and several of the large range bags. All leather of course. Good luck and safe shooting.

I have a Hunter holster for my 686 thats been around for a while, 1100K 10 stamped on the back. Very plain, but functional.
