I thought I've got my rifle and pistol version dirty before... This is a whole different level of fouling. Looks like a 2 hour cleaning session. I dont have that kind of time. Lol

200 thunderbolts will be that bad.

A certain DI I remember would put you on KP for a month for that.

amazed

Well i am gobsmacked!

I have never seen a dirtier gun, and truly amazed that it still functions properly.

What ammo did you use? Cheers

This has been a process of about 40 days or so.

No Remington golden bullets or thunderbolts.

The ammo I've used is a mix of CCI Blazers I got at midway $20 per 500, federal bulk and CCI mini mags.

This all actually started because I friend of mine purchased a sonic cleaner and wanted to test it on something dirty. So I suggested by 22 bolt as at the time it had about 1800 rounds. Well the sonic cleaner that was sent to him was damaged so he sent it back and waited to receive another. As we waited I decided not to clean and keep dirtying up the rifle. Friends I shoot with were surprised at how it kept running as dirty as it is.

So now it has turned into a torture test/testing Shaun's sonic cleaner once it comes in sometime next week or this weekend. I will stop once the sonic cleaner get in and I will clean till my fingers bleed lol. We are going to shoot this after noon and plan to put 300 rounds through it and see how it does as dirty as it is. I'll be using CCI Blazers this go around. I expect she will run as well as it has previously.

Be careful not to put anything aluminum in the cleaner. It will quick attack and destroy the aluminum, even if all you are using is water.

I don't know if the new Thunderbolts are as dirty as they used to be. I don't think they are any worse than what was in those photos.
