How close is your gun store?

The closest ones to me are about three miles from home, but across the river, in Wisconsin, which limits me a bit. If I go the other way, into the Cities, I have half a dozen options between 8 and 35 miles away.

The one I do the most business with is too close for my billfold. It takes me longer to grab my hat, pick up the keys, get in the car, buckle up and back out of the driveway than it does to drive there. Exactly 1.0 miles.

Closest store is about 5 miles.

Closest with a range is about 9 miles.

Nearest is....

The nearest is 1.8 miles away. Just outside of that range are a few more. When they build the Bass Pro shop it is going to be about the same distance in another direction. The new Cabelas will be about 15 minutes away.

The gun store I use the more is 26 miles. The sportsmens club I belong too is 9 miles away it has a inside pistol range and outside rifle and pistol ranges. 7 miles to the hospital, 1/2 mile from a major river, no Starbucks, 2 miles from a redbox 2 miles from Walmart, 2,5 miles from Mickey D's, 3 miles from the Y, 6 miles from the local airport. Walgreens 2.5 miles, no best buy. near several national park. A small town.

There are a few closer, but the store I do business with is 9 miles away.

Three of them are about 7 miles away in different directions. I have other choices too a bit further away. Michigan is really a gun friendly state and we're fortunate to have lots of gun shops here. Opening day of firearm deer season is almost a state holiday and you'll find most businesses under staffed then. That and Christmas probably generates most of our gun shop business although they too get a fair amount of CCW business these days.
When our CCW laws changed better than ten years ago it seemed everyone was trading in their revolvers on CCW guns and revolvers were cheap. I picked up several back then at bargain prices but unfortunately it's not that way anymore.

10 min casual walking distance! Literally next to the walgreens. Walk through my development and cross the shopping center parking lot
